Contrast

“For this project, I decided to work with dark complexions and vibrant colours like yellow, red, and orange. These colours were implemented into the apparel scheme as it creates a contrasting balance between the complexion of the models and the clothes while also accentuating their features. Persons with darker skin tones look best in colours situated on the warm side of the spectrum.

The use of androgynous figures highlights the current condition of society. One that is moving towards unification rather than disassociation. This project reminds you to admire darkness, As darkness has a means of making colour seem more meaningful.” – TEYE ADEKEYE
