Blue is the colour, and Activism is the mood. Strong and empowered, young models marched the runway with some of the most symbolic items that marked the greatest historic battles and revolutions – including denim overalls, revisited workwear, classic trench coats, and black barrettes. With varied pieces to please most styles and occasions, the collection was united by the shielding details that reinforced each garment, fitted for soldiers ready to fight and defend their cause.
Sheer dresses that revealed boyish underwear played an interesting game contrasting vulnerability and toughness, whilst military inspired jackets put up a strong front over both fluid and rigid skirts.
The up-and-coming textile of the season also made an appearance in this runway: deep blue velvet worked its way into 5 of the collection’s looks, and we have to say: we’re really warming up to it now.
